Welcome to Mohawk Trail Regional School, home of the Warriors!
At Mohawk Trail we are committed to building community and capacity together. Our school is a dynamic learning community where seventh through twelfth-grade students can develop as scholars, athletes, artists, and citizens.
In December of 2023 we were awarded a $450,000 Barr Foundation grant to help us continue to build our unique school from January 2024–January 2026. These funds will be used to focus on:
- Continuing to support student voice and social and emotional learning needs through our daily advisory class.
- Continuing to focus on developing student and staff culture through growing our expertise with restorative practices.
- Continuing our pedagogical shift to standards-based teaching and learning and helping students to be the drivers of their own learning. Student-led-conferences will continue to provide opportunities for students to lead their own learning.
- Continuing to help provide students with the opportunity to extend their Capstone project personal passions into work-based learning and internship opportunities.
- Providing opportunities for teachers to take on leadership roles and continue to innovate content and pedagogy in the service of all of our students.

On March 24, eight students traveled to Baystate Franklin Medical Center for the Annual "Blood and Guts" Career exploration event.
As was the case last year, I will hold regular virtual office hours. You don’t need an appointment to come and talk with me and share your thoughts on what goes on at MTRS.
On Friday, April 18, middle school students will participate in Career Day- a morning event designed to expose students to a variety of different career paths.
There is no school on Monday, April 21 through Friday, April 25 for our April break.
On April 2, from noon to 2:30 p.m., Mohawk Trail Regional School will host student-led conferences.
We were saddened to hear of the untimely passing of Coach Zack Turner in late February.
Families of current grade 6 students who will be coming to MTRS in August, please look out for an email with lots of news about upcoming news and activities in relation to starting in grade 7.
We are in a particularly slushy time of year, and the custodial team does a great job in helping keep all our floors clear and safe.
While winter sports are just now in full swing, it is time to start thinking about selecting a spring sport for your student-athletes! Registration will open on February 1 and can be found on the school website.
